The crowd rose to their feet as Portlaw AFC's Brion McPhil slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Blathmacc John. That made the score 1-0 after 3 minutes of play. If Bola Dillon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brendon McBjarton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bressail McJon in the 10th minute of play. Brion McPhil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brendon McBjarton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bola Dillon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute, Bola Dillon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Blamhac Quinnless fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blathmacc John having to interfere. Blathmacc John was out of position in the 30 minute of play, and Harold McIan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Harold McIan really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Glenbonniv Utd's Blathmacc John proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Glenbonniv Utd from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Blamhac Quinnless took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Blathmacc John to make any attempt to save it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Blamhac Quinnless in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Blathmacc John prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Blamhac Quinnless had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Blamhac Quinnless made a kick off. Blamhac Quinnless received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Blathmacc John tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Glenbonniv Utd's Trien McAaron got a free kick in the 56th minute. Harold McIan might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Blathmacc John. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Harold McIan ran back to his position shaking his head. 63 minutes into the match, Glenbonniv Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Brion McPhil came free, but Blathmacc John reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 64 minutes, Harold McIan made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. Glenbonniv Utd's Blathmacc John tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Portlaw AFC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Ailín McLian hit a great ball. After having played for 72 minutes, Blamhac Quinnless managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Portlaw AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Blamhac Quinnless was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Harold McIan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Glenbonniv Utd booed when Portlaw AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brion McPhil didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute, Blamhac Quinnless got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 83 minutes, Bola Dillon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Glenbonniv Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bola Dillon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 88th minute, Blamhac Quinnless got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Blathmacc John showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harold McIan, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. When Brion McPhil was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 96 minutes had been played. In the 97th minute, Brion McPhil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Portlaw AFC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
