Barnacahoge's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Bressail McJon 4 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. After 7th play minutes Rylee McLiam shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Blathmacc John and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 10th minute Gordon Perth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blathmacc John saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Barnacahoge's Blaithmeic Hughes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Blathmacc John narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Barnacahoge getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Donleavy Ferguson hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bressail McJon in the 26th minute of play forced Barnacahoge's goalkeeper Alfred Duggan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rylee McLiam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Blathmacc John tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Blathmacc John showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Blaithmeic Hughes, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Barnacahoge's goalkeeper Alfred Duggan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bola Dillon. After 36 minutes, Blaithmeic Hughes made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Glenbonniv Utd's Blathmacc John tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half Barnacahoge were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bressail McJon to strike the kick off in the second half. Glenbonniv Utd's Trien McAaron couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Barnacahoge. Bola Dillon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Alfred Duggan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Glenbonniv Utd's Blathmacc John played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rylee McLiam in the 63rd minute of play. Blaithmeic Hughes's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Blathmacc John firmly grabbed it by the left post. Blathmacc John made an important save on a dangerous shot by Blaithmeic Hughes in the 67th minute. After a rather tough play, Glenbonniv Utd's Kevion McTom got a free kick in the 72nd minute. If Rylee McLiam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, Barnacahoge's Blathmacc John threw himself towards the right post 75 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rylee McLiam, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Blaithmeic Hughes's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Blathmacc John firmly grabbed it by the left post. 89 minutes into the game, Bairrionn Perth was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Glenbonniv Utd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barnacahoge the free kick. Blaithmeic Hughes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blathmacc John having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, Glenbonniv Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Rylee McLiam came free, but Blathmacc John reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Barnacahoge's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
