Bola Dillon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilbert McGlenn having to interfere. 9 minutes into the match, Ferrybank Utd's Heron Glen Crowe sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Blathmacc John narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 12 minutes, Boudibiua McWillie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Glenbonniv Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Boudibiua McWillie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 13 played minutes Glenbonniv Utd got a freekick which was hit by Boudibiua McWillie. The supporters of Glenbonniv Utd booed when Ferrybank Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brannan Bayes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 18 minutes, Bressail McJon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Glenbonniv Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bressail McJon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Heron Glen Crowe in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Blathmacc John prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Glenbonniv Utd booed when Ferrybank Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benedict Coyle didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Glenbonniv Utd's Trien McAaron tried to score from far away in the 25th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Heron Glen Crowe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th minute Heron Glen Crowe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blathmacc John saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Glenbonniv Utd's Colmcille Frankson got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Heron Glen Crowe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blathmacc John having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Heron Glen Crowe made a precise shot to the right of Blathmacc John. Glenbonniv Utd's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Heron Glen Crowe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Blathmacc John tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The wind increased when Harrington Kirby made the kick off in the second half. 65 minutes into the match, Ferrybank Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Bressail McJon came free, but Gilbert McGlenn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Glenbonniv Utd's Bola Dillon in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Heron Glen Crowe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ferrybank Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Heron Glen Crowe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Blathmacc John breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Blathmacc John took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harrington Kirby, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Glenbonniv Utd's Blathmacc John played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harrington Kirby in the 92nd minute of play. Gilbert McGlenn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bola Dillon, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. After 97 played minutes, Ferrybank Utd's Brain McNamara shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Blathmacc John came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ferrybank Utd reached it. When the match was over Ferrybank Utd could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Glenbonniv Utd throughout the match.
