The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Brann Mullan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 15th minute, Saoirse Lavine left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ardranny fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Baoithin McMichel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 20 minutes into the game, Brigid Frankson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Corcreeghagh Utd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ardranny the free kick. After a rather tough play, Corcreeghagh Utd's Brigid Frankson got a free kick in the 20th minute. Bryan Dalton's late challenge caught a Ardranny's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bryan Dalton helped the player get up and apologised. Bryan Dalton hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After having played for 22 minutes, Baoithin McMichel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ardranny's supporters crossed their fingers, but Baoithin McMichel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 36 minutes into the match, Ardranny's goalkeeper Art McJohnny had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Brann Mullan. Heremon McTommy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saoirse Lavine in the 39th minute of the match. Brann Mullan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Art McJohnny having to interfere. After 45 played minutes Corcreeghagh Utd got a freekick which was hit by Barclay Dempsey. Art McJohnny showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brannagh Keegan, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute.

Brannagh Keegan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Art McJohnny having to interfere. Brann Mullan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Art McJohnny tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Saoirse Lavine came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Ardranny fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Saoirse Lavine couldn't finish the play. Saoirse Lavines short, quick shot in the 68thth minute got Heremon McTommy to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Art McJohnny made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brann Mullan in the 70th minute of play. Saoirse Lavine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heremon McTommy having to interfere. Brann Mullan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Art McJohnny tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 82 played minutes Ardranny got a freekick which was hit by Baoithin McMichel. The free kick made by Ardranny's Baoithin McMichel led to a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 87th minute of the match Boylan Benson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Art McJohnny skillfully saved the ball. Brannagh Keegan kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Baoithin McMichel took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Heremon McTommy to make any attempt to save it.
