Spectators: 6771 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1771, VIP seats: 0) Corcreeghagh Utd's Brannagh Keegan started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Barclay Dempsey fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Corcreeghagh Utd's protests and gave Barclay Dempsey a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Ardaghy booed when Corcreeghagh Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barclay Dempsey didn't get a good kick on the ball. 4 minutes into the match, Ardaghy's Herygh McJohnny sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Heremon McTommy narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 12th match minute, Corcreeghagh Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bryan Dalton to maneuver through the defense. The corner ended in Herygh McJohnny almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Corcreeghagh Utd's Heremon McTommy did a great save. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Sameer Caffey managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ardaghy's supporters rose to their feet, but Sameer Caffey was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Heremon McTommy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Corcreeghagh Utd getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Bryan Dalton hit a great ball. After 18 minutes, Bryan Dalton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Corcreeghagh Utd and the Ardaghy players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 18 played minutes Corcreeghagh Utd got a freekick which was hit by Bryan Dalton. In the 22nd match minute, Ardaghy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herygh McJohnny to maneuver through the defense. Gordan McPeter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brannagh Keegan in the 25th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Corcreeghagh Utd's goalkeeper Heremon McTommy had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sameer Caffey. After having played for 28 minutes, Beollan Harkin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ardaghy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Beollan Harkin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Brann Mullan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brannagh Keegan in the 35th minute of play forced Ardaghy's goalkeeper Gordan McPeter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Heremon McTommy was a little too slow when Beollan Harkin got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 43rd minute. The score was now 2-0. Trien McTom kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Beollan Harkin to strike the kick off in the second half. Corcreeghagh Utd's Heremon McTommy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beollan Harkin in the 51st minute of play. After 53 minutes Corcreeghagh Utd's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Herygh McJohnny who took care of the corner kick. Herygh McJohnny made a great header on Ardaghy's corner, it was just that Corcreeghagh Utd's Heremon McTommy managed to reach the ball for a save. Sameer Caffey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heremon McTommy having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, Ardaghy's goal looked a bit too open when Brannagh Keegan came free, but Gordan McPeter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 62 minutes, Beollan Harkin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ardaghy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Beollan Harkin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bryan Dalton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Gordan McPeter made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Brannagh Keegan in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gordan McPeter prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Beollan Harkin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Brann Mullan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gordan McPeter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brannagh Keegan in the 80th minute of play. Corcreeghagh Utd's Brann Mullan got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ardaghy's Gordan McPeter proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Ardaghy from getting a goal against them. Gordan McPeter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brannagh Keegan in the 89th minute of play. If Brannagh Keegan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 95 minutes, Brann Mullan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Corcreeghagh Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brann Mullan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Corcreeghagh Utd's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
