Fergal Barrett was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Dromgarriff's zone, Dermod Glen Crowe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fergal Barrett came out of the goal and Dermod Glen Crowe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brenn McCready kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. After 10 played minutes, Indreabhan's Brakawn Horgan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fergal Barrett came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Indreabhan reached it. When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Dermod Glen Crowe sped through Dromgarriff's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fergal Barrett. After 24 played minutes Dromgarriff got a freekick which was hit by Brenn McCready. After a rather tough play, Dromgarriff's Bel McTom got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 36th minute Dermod Glen Crowe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fergal Barrett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Carson Crowe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the match, Indreabhan's Dermod Glen Crowe sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fergal Barrett narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fergal Barrett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dermod Glen Crowe, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dermod Glen Crowe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Carson Crowe struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Fergal Barrett didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Indreabhan. The crowd rose to their feet as Indreabhan's Dermod Glen Crowe slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fergal Barrett. That made the score 1-3 after 64 minutes of play. Lochlainn Byrne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fergal Barrett was a little too slow when Dermod Glen Crowe got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 77th minute. The score was now 1-4. Carson Crowe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Indreabhan's Carson Crowe got a free kick in the 93rd minute. If Brenn McCready had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Indreabhan walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
