In the 19th minute, Blian Ghee hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dónal Kelly in the 20th minute of play forced Moate's goalkeeper Cleary McIan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute, Dónal Kelly left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Annesbrook fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 36th minute Dónal Kelly shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cleary McIan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 37 minutes, Beamard Willson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Annesbrook and the Moate players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Moate booed when Annesbrook was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beamard Willson didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kealan Lester in the 42nd minute of play forced Annesbrook's goalkeeper Bean Rutherford to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dónal Kelly was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dónal Kelly in the 55th minute of play forced Moate's goalkeeper Cleary McIan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cleary McIan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dónal Kelly, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. 61 minutes into the match, Annesbrook's goal looked a bit too open when Brann McOliver came free, but Bean Rutherford reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Robert Palmer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Dónal Kelly, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 66 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Cleary McIan was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Annesbrook's zone, Brann McOliver stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bean Rutherford came out of the goal and Brann McOliver tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 73 minutes into the match, Moate's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Palmer came free, but Cleary McIan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th match minute, Annesbrook was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artur McLiam to maneuver through the defense. Blian Ghee charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Blian Ghee the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 79th minute, Blian Ghee hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Annesbrook getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Teigue Barrett hit a great ball. Cleary McIan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Palmer in the 83rd minute of the match. During the 84th minute of the match Blian Ghee completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Blian Ghee a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. 85 minutes into the match, Dónal Kelly notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Moate's Cleary McIan. Cleary McIan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The nice shot from Kealan Lester in the 91stth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Bean Rutherford had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Kealan Lester received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Bean Rutherford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Moate players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Annesbrook.
