Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Brenn McCready kicked off to start the match. Thom McWillie hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. In the 9th minute of the match Paudraig Kirby shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fergal Barrett showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Kilfenora booed when Dromgarriff was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thom McWillie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brenn McCready received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Colm Beckett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gearroid Willson kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dillon Brennan in the 17th minute of play forced Dromgarriff's goalkeeper Fergal Barrett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bairthmead McGlenn's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 20thth minute, Colm Beckett skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 22 minutes of play Dromgarriff's Thom McWillie was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Fergal Barrett came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Kilfenora's Dillon Brennan. But to his dismay, Dillon Brennan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 27th minute, Séamus Byrne ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fergal Barrett was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 35 minutes into the match, Bairthmead McGlenn had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Colm Beckett. Kilfenora's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bairthmead McGlenn was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Séamus Byrne managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kilfenora's supporters rose to their feet, but Séamus Byrne was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fergal Barrett breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Kilfenora were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dillon Brennan to make the kick off. Dromgarriff's Bairthmead McGlenn got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dromgarriff's defense didn't have a chance, in the 60th minute, when Dillon Brennan scored to the left of an out of position Fergal Barrett, making the score, 1-3. 65 minutes into the match, Kilfenora's goal looked a bit too open when Bairthmead McGlenn came free, but Colm Beckett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Bairthmead McGlenn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dillon Brennan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Fergal Barrett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fergal Barrett didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Séamus Byrne went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. 85 minutes into the game, Kilfenora's Séamus Byrne nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fergal Barrett made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Dillon Brennan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kilfenora's supporters rose to their feet, but Dillon Brennan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fergal Barrett breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Denny McCollion hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Colm Beckett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bairthmead McGlenn, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The Kilfenora supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Kilfenora would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
