The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bean Rutherford took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rory McFrank, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Artur McLiam could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Seoirse McBjarton made a huge save. Bean Rutherford made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rory McFrank in the 27th minute of play. Artur McLiam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rory McFrank to make the kick off. Whitebog Utd's Rory McFrank got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 55 minutes into the match, Whitebog Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Dónal Kelly came free, but Seoirse McBjarton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 58 played minutes Annesbrook got a freekick which was hit by Beamard Willson. A sloppy throw-in by Banban Tierney in the 62nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Whitebog Utd's Brenden McJon. After a rather tough play, Whitebog Utd's Brenden McJon got a free kick in the 65th minute. Dónal Kelly fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Seoirse McBjarton having to interfere. Banban Tierney hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. In the 87th minute Liam Willson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bean Rutherford saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 95 played minutes, Annesbrook's Banban Tierney shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Seoirse McBjarton came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Annesbrook reached it. Cullan McBrandon hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
