Riddock Cronin ran back to his position shaking his head. Shea McFrancise had several of the Cloghglass FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 23 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Pierce O'Down as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 35th minute, Shea McFrancise hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 38 played minutes Monroe got a freekick which was hit by Triain Silke. Fiachra McWilliam scored 1-1 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pat McPhil, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

The wind increased when Fiachra McWilliam made the kick off in the second half. Berach Ramsey charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Berach Ramsey the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 51st match minute, Monroe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Berach Ramsey to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cashel Willson in the 53rd minute of play forced Cloghglass FC's goalkeeper Pierce O'Down to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 55 minutes, Riddock Cronin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Monroe and the Cloghglass FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Monroe's Riddock Cronin got a free kick in the 55th minute. After 58 played minutes Monroe got a freekick which was hit by Donahue Johnson. If Cashel Willson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Riddock Cronin got his second yellow card in the match during the 65th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Riddock Cronin hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. If Fiachra McWilliam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 73 minutes into the match, Cloghglass FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cashel Willson came free, but Pierce O'Down reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Gearóid MaCollin fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cloghglass FC's protests and gave Gearóid MaCollin a yellow card for diving instead. Triain Silke was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 81st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Cashel Willson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Monroe's Pat McPhil proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Monroe from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cashel Willson in the 93rd minute of play forced Cloghglass FC's goalkeeper Pierce O'Down to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute, Cashel Willson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
