Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Brenn McCready started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 5th minute, Dromgarriff's Bairthmead McGlenn dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. After 11 played minutes Dromgarriff got a freekick which was hit by Lochlainn Byrne. If Brenn McCready had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bairthmead McGlenn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Pierce O'Down tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pierce O'Down took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brenn McCready, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bairthmead McGlenn succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 22nd playminute. With a little luck, Cloghglass FC's Pierce O'Down got control of the ball when Bairthmead McGlenn tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Cloghglass FC's zone, Brenn McCready stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pierce O'Down came out of the goal and Brenn McCready tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sherlock McBjarton hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Dromgarriff's Seoirse Deans tried to score from far away in the 48th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Bairthmead McGlenn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Pierce O'Down tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Dromgarriff fans' excitement grew in the 56th match minute when Dromgarriff's Bairthmead McGlenn looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Dromgarriff's Fergal Barrett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fiachra McWilliam in the 64th minute of play. Pierce O'Down took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bairthmead McGlenn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pierce O'Down made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brenn McCready in the 71st minute of play. 71 minutes into the game, Gearóid MaCollin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cloghglass FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dromgarriff the free kick. The supporters of Dromgarriff booed when Cloghglass FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gearóid MaCollin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cloghglass FC's Fiachra McWilliam got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fiachra McWilliam was extremely unlucky when he, in the 75th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 79th match minute, Cloghglass FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Troy Todd to maneuver through the defense. Pierce O'Down made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brenn McCready in the 80th minute of play. When Dromgarriff's Thom McWillie in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cloghglass FC's goalie prevented a goal. Bairthmead McGlenn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pierce O'Down having to interfere. Bairthmead McGlenn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Pierce O'Down tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Cloghglass FC's zone, Thom McWillie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pierce O'Down came out of the goal and Thom McWillie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 96 minutes into the match, Cloghglass FC's Fiachra McWilliam sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fergal Barrett narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 98 minutes into the match, Dromgarriff's goal looked a bit too open when Fiachra McWilliam came free, but Fergal Barrett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
