Colm Beckett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kealan Lester, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dillon Brennan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cleary McIan having to interfere. Kealan Lester received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Colm Beckett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Brann McOliver made the kick off in the second half. Kealan Lester fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Colm Beckett having to interfere. Colm Beckett stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brann McOliver's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. The audience was convinced that Séamus Byrne's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cleary McIan was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Kealan Lester received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Colm Beckett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Colm Beckett prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dillon Brennan in the 81st minute of play forced Moate's goalkeeper Cleary McIan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 82 minutes into the match, Moate's goal looked a bit too open when Séamus Byrne came free, but Cleary McIan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Dillon Brennan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dillon Brennan in the 89th minute of play forced Moate's goalkeeper Cleary McIan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Moate walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
