Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Brenn McCready started the match with the kick off. Robert Palmer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Fergal Barrett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 4th play minutes Dónal Kelly shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Fergal Barrett and just under the crossbar into goal. Dónal Kelly recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bean Rutherford took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brenn McCready, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dónal Kelly fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fergal Barrett having to interfere. After having played for 17 minutes, Brenn McCready managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dromgarriff's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brenn McCready was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Brenn McCready fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bean Rutherford having to interfere. Bel McTom's late challenge caught a Annesbrook's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bel McTom helped the player get up and apologised. In the 26th minute, Bel McTom hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fergal Barrett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teigue Barrett in the 27th minute of the match. Dónal Kelly sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Robert Palmer who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Fergal Barrett when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Thom McWillie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Brenn McCready in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bean Rutherford prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 44th minute, Dónal Kelly got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Robert Palmer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Fergal Barrett made a huge save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dónal Kelly to make the kick off. Bairthmead McGlenn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Thom McWillie charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Thom McWillie the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Dromgarriff's Thom McWillie got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 54th minute, Dónal Kelly made a precise shot to the right of Fergal Barrett. Dromgarriff's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. After having played for 60 minutes, Dónal Kelly managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Annesbrook's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dónal Kelly was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Tadhg Hughes fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dromgarriff's protests and gave Tadhg Hughes a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Dromgarriff fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 68th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Annesbrook a penalty, 70 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Teigue Barrett, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Dromgarriff's Fergal Barrett. 4-0. When Bairthmead McGlenn came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Dromgarriff fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bairthmead McGlenn couldn't finish the play. In the 80th minute, Artur McLiam had to leave the field with a concussion. When Thom McWillie was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 80 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Dromgarriff's Thom McWillie got a free kick in the 81st minute. 82 minutes into the match, Annesbrook's Teigue Barrett broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 86th minute, Robert Palmer made a precise shot to the right of Fergal Barrett. Dromgarriff's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. When Robert Palmer came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Annesbrook fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robert Palmer couldn't finish the play. 90 minutes into the game, one of Dromgarriff:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Teigue Barrett walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Annesbrook's Bean Rutherford proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save Annesbrook from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Annesbrook had won after a very even match.
