Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Brann McOliver started the match with the kick off. Brann McOliver received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Pierce O'Down tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brann McOliver in the 5th minute of play forced Cloghglass FC's goalkeeper Pierce O'Down to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 8 played minutes Moate got a freekick which was hit by Boland Molloy. Cloghglass FC's Pierce O'Down played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brann McOliver in the 14th minute of play. Kealan Lester's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pierce O'Down read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Fiachra McWilliam's late challenge caught a Moate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fiachra McWilliam helped the player get up and apologised. Fiachra McWilliam hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Reilly Kelly was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 33rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 35 minutes into the game, Kealan Lester cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Pierce O'Down was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Kealan Lester sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fiachra McWilliam to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kealan Lester in the 51st minute of play forced Cloghglass FC's goalkeeper Pierce O'Down to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cloghglass FC's Pierce O'Down played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kealan Lester in the 52nd minute of play. After 61 minutes Moate's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Reilly Kelly who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Reilly Kelly almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Moate's Cleary McIan did a great save. Kealan Lester might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pierce O'Down. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kealan Lester ran back to his position shaking his head. After 69th play minutes Kealan Lester shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Pierce O'Down and just under the crossbar into goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fiachra McWilliam in the 73rd minute of play forced Moate's goalkeeper Cleary McIan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eamonn Hughes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Cleary McIan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Kealan Lester ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pierce O'Down was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. If Kealan Lester had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 88 minutes into the match, Kealan Lester notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Cloghglass FC's Pierce O'Down. Pierce O'Down was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 92 minutes, Brann McOliver managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Moate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brann McOliver was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Moate had won after a very even match.
