Spectators: 6775 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1775, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Beatty McJon kicked off to start the match. Toran Hughes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Palmer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Annesbrook's Bean Rutherford played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beatty McJon in the 11th minute of play. Bean Rutherford was a little too slow when Beatty McJon got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 12th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 15th match minute, Annesbrook was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dawayne Holt to maneuver through the defense. If Begley Brennan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Beatty McJon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bean Rutherford having to interfere. 31 minutes into the match, Annesbrook's goalkeeper Bean Rutherford had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Begley Brennan . The supporters of Kilpierce booed when Annesbrook was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dawayne Holt didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Kilpierce's Peadair McJohnny tried to score from far away in the 38th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dónal Kelly in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Toran Hughes saved Kilpierce from getting behind. In the 47th minute Robert Palmer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toran Hughes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Dónal Kelly recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Annesbrook's zone, Terry McStephen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bean Rutherford came out of the goal and Terry McStephen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dónal Kelly received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Toran Hughes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Artur McLiam took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Toran Hughes. Toran Hughes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 72 minutes into the match, Kilpierce's goal looked a bit too open when Dónal Kelly came free, but Toran Hughes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rd match minute, Annesbrook was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beamard Willson to maneuver through the defense. 74 minutes into the game, one of Annesbrook:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Kilpierce a penalty, 76 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Peadair McJohnny, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Annesbrook's Bean Rutherford. 2-1. Robert Palmer who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 84thth minute tested the skills of Toran Hughes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Dónal Kelly received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Toran Hughes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kilpierce's Toran Hughes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Kilpierce from getting a goal against them. Dónal Kelly sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Robert Palmer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Annesbrook's supporters rose to their feet, but Robert Palmer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Toran Hughes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Kilpierce players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
