After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Branigan McBjarton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bawnfune AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Branigan McBjarton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joseph McLian breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Bawnfune AFC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Andrew MaCollin hit a great ball. If Herne Mulvihill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 11 minutes into the match, Lismore FC's goal looked a bit too open when Herne Mulvihill came free, but Joseph McLian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Doney Taylor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some careless play in the Bawnfune AFC defense, Berrigan McVictor kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gearroid McLian. The Bawnfune AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gearroid McLian should have stopped the shot. Herne Mulvihill received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Joseph McLian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Seoirse Savic during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 30th minute of the match Daron Matthews sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joseph McLian skillfully saved the ball. Berrigan McVictor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Bawnfune AFC's Saoirse McCollion got a free kick in the 40th minute. Doney Taylor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Doney Taylor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gearroid McLian having to interfere. In the 47th match minute, Lismore FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benedict McCollion to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Branigan McBjarton stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Lismore FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Taveon McJohn hit a great ball. Andrew MaCollin hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. When Lismore FC's Doney Taylor in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bawnfune AFC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 57th minute, Branigan McBjarton fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After 63 minutes, Berrigan McVictor mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lismore FC and the Bawnfune AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Lismore FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Berrigan McVictor hit a great ball. 65 minutes into the match, Lismore FC's goal looked a bit too open when Branigan McBjarton came free, but Joseph McLian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Herne Mulvihill could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Joseph McLian made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Branigan McBjarton in the 79th minute of play forced Lismore FC's goalkeeper Joseph McLian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Herne Mulvihill managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bawnfune AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Herne Mulvihill was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joseph McLian breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Lismore FC's zone, Branigan McBjarton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joseph McLian came out of the goal and Branigan McBjarton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lismore FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
