Spectators: 6777 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1777, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Dillon Brennan made the kick off which started today's match. Pierce O'Down showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dillon Brennan, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. After 6 played minutes Cloghglass FC got a freekick which was hit by Troy Todd. Dillon Brennan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pierce O'Down having to interfere. Pierce O'Down came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Kilfenora's Dillon Brennan. But to his dismay, Dillon Brennan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 29th minute of the match, Fiachra McWilliam tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Colm Beckett saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The long shot by Reilly Kelly in the 33rd minute really tested Colm Beckett's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. When Séamus Byrne came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Kilfenora fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Séamus Byrne couldn't finish the play. In the 42nd minute, Paudraig Kirby sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Cloghglass FC's Pierce O'Down didn't even have to move. A collision led to Cloghglass FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Troy Todd hit a great ball. After 46 played minutes Cloghglass FC got a freekick which was hit by Gearóid MaCollin. Paudraig Kirby was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 47th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After the first half Kilfenora were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 53rd minute Fiachra McWilliam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Colm Beckett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 53 minutes into the match, Fiachra McWilliam notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Kilfenora's Colm Beckett. Colm Beckett was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Reilly Kelly during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Kilfenora booed when Cloghglass FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reilly Kelly didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Dillon Brennan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pierce O'Down was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. If Eamonn Hughes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pierce O'Down was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dillon Brennan showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 69 minute of play. The supporters of Kilfenora booed when Cloghglass FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gearóid MaCollin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dillon Brennan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pierce O'Down made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Séamus Byrne sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Cloghglass FC defense, Séamus Byrne kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pierce O'Down. The Cloghglass FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pierce O'Down should have stopped the shot. Quinton McWillie could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Pierce O'Down made a huge save. Pierce O'Down made an important save on a dangerous shot by Séamus Byrne in the 92nd minute. When the final whistle sounded Kilfenora left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Cloghglass FC.
