A collision led to Lismore FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Seoirse Savic hit a great ball. Joseph McLian acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 56th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Paudraig Kirby. The attack was good, but when Dillon Brennan in the 59th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After a defensive mix-up in Lismore FC's zone, Dillon Brennan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joseph McLian came out of the goal and Dillon Brennan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 70thth minute of the game Berrigan McVictor who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kilfenora's Colm Beckett was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kilfenora's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
