Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Rollan Myler made the kick off and thus started the match. Brenan Dunne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dane O'Neill in the 6th minute of the match. Tallanstown's Brenan Dunne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dane Ramsey in the 8th minute of play. When Coinneach McFrancise fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tallanstown's protests and gave Coinneach McFrancise a yellow card for diving instead. Dane Ramsey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 13 minutes into the match, Dane Ramsey had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Brenan Dunne. Tallanstown's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dane Ramsey was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Dane Ramsey kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. If Rollan Myler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donoghue Deery hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. 22 minutes into the game, Comhghall Bayes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Taveon McWillie. Comhghall Bayes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Rollan Myler had several of the Saltmills's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 25 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Taveon McWillie as he didn't even see the shot coming. Taveon McWillie made an important save on a dangerous shot by Comhghall Bayes in the 30th minute. Comhghall Bayes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Taveon McWillie made a huge save. In the 40th minute Rollan Myler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Taveon McWillie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Saltmills's Donoghue Deery got his second yellow card of the match in the 41st minute. The referee ordered Donoghue Deery off the ground. After 42 played minutes Saltmills got a freekick which was hit by Donoghue Deery. 43 minutes into the match, Saltmills's goalkeeper Taveon McWillie had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Comhghall Bayes. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rollan Myler in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Taveon McWillie saved Saltmills from getting behind. Brenan Dunne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dane O'Neill in the 47th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dane O'Neill to strike the kick off in the second half. Cleary O'Down kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Brenan Dunne made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dane O'Neill in the 55th minute. A collision led to Saltmills getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Dane Ramsey hit a great ball. Tallanstown's Rollan Myler got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 67th minute, Rollan Myler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Comhghall Bayes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th minute, Donan Martyn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tallanstown's Comhghall Bayes got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rollan Myler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Comhghall Bayes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Taveon McWillie was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. After having played for 87 minutes, Dane O'Neill managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saltmills's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dane O'Neill was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dane Ramsey kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Saltmills players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Tallanstown.
