To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 37th minute, Philib Gough made a precise shot to the right of Bel McAaron. Licketstown's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. With a little luck, Licketstown's Bel McAaron got control of the ball when Philib Gough tried to sneak it across the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Philib Gough made a kick off.
