Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Saltmills's Dane Ramsey started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute of the match, Oliver Cassin got a very nice opportunity to score, but Taveon McWillie was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 5 played minutes Killina got a freekick which was hit by Jarlath Morrison. After having played for 11 minutes, Fionn Lester managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Killina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fionn Lester was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Saltmills's zone, Fionn Lester stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Taveon McWillie came out of the goal and Fionn Lester tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oliver Cassin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Taveon McWillie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Taveon McWillie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fionn Lester in the 18th minute of the match. In the 21st minute, Fionn Lester reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Taveon McWillie. The goal made the score 1-0. Dane Ramsey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oliver Cassin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Taveon McWillie having to interfere. After 31 minutes of play, Saltmills's Dane O'Neill made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Logan Gollogley was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cleary O'Down during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 34th match minute, Saltmills was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cleary O'Down to maneuver through the defense. If Fionn Lester had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Taveon McWillie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fionn Lester in the 38th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fionn Lester stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Oliver Cassin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Taveon McWillie having to interfere. Fionn Lester recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Killina's Oliver Cassin in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Saltmills's goalie prevented a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Breen Lester during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Saltmills booed when Killina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Breen Lester didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Saltmills's goalkeeper Taveon McWillie, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 73rd minute Killina were awarded a corner. Brede McJames went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Killina's corner Brede McJames fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Taveon McWillie quite easily take care of the ball. Dane Ramsey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Logan Gollogley having to interfere. Dane O'Neill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Logan Gollogley having to interfere. In the 83rd minute Oliver Cassin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Taveon McWillie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Fionn Lester had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fionn Lester in the 93rd minute of play forced Saltmills's goalkeeper Taveon McWillie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Killina were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Saltmills to leave the ground with a draw.
