Breenagh Utd's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Binnech Jameson in the 15th minute. The corner led to Breenagh Utd's Bearchan Gough getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 17th minute Dillon McTommy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bel McAaron saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Rowley Hutton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Rowley Hutton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Licketstown's supporters rose to their feet, but Rowley Hutton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Colm Doherty breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Louie Crowe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Colm Doherty read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. In the 32nd minute Rowley Hutton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Colm Doherty saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Rowley Hutton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dillon McTommy might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bel McAaron. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dillon McTommy ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Breenagh Utd's goalkeeper Colm Doherty, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Boyle Benson's late challenge caught a Licketstown's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Boyle Benson helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Breenagh Utd's Boyle Benson got a free kick in the 42nd minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Louie Crowe made the kick off in the second half. Bel McAaron didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Davie Gillmour went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Davie Gillmour received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Bel McAaron tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rowley Hutton scored 1-1 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Colm Doherty, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Breenagh Utd's zone, Louie Crowe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Colm Doherty came out of the goal and Louie Crowe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bel McAaron showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Davie Gillmour in the 70th minute of the match. Louie Crowe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Colm Doherty having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Beagan McDecland managed to get in a good position for a shot. Breenagh Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Beagan McDecland was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bel McAaron breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 91st match minute, Breenagh Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dillon McTommy to maneuver through the defense. Louie Crowe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Colm Doherty having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Louie Crowe got free with Colm Doherty in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
