Seating: 1764, VIP seats: 0) Rowley Hutton started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Rowley Hutton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Taveon McWillie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dane Ramsey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 12 minutes into the match, Licketstown's goal looked a bit too open when Dane Ramsey came free, but Bel McAaron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 15 played minutes Licketstown got a freekick which was hit by Brennen Scully. Dane O'Neill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Shey Kelly charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Shey Kelly the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Shey Kelly kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the game, Berrin Ghee was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Licketstown's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saltmills the free kick. After 23 played minutes Licketstown got a freekick which was hit by Berrin Ghee . Keelin Dimson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Licketstown's Berrin Ghee got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Saltmills's Dane Ramsey got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Taveon McWillie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rowley Hutton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Licketstown players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Saltmills were winning 0-1.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dane Ramsey to strike the kick off in the second half. Bel McAaron showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dane Ramsey, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Dane O'Neill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dane Ramsey in the 76th minute of play forced Licketstown's goalkeeper Bel McAaron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79th minute, Dane Ramsey got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bel McAaron stood somewhat misplaced when Dane Ramsey came free in front of goal and shot 0-2 to the left of him in the 81 minute. After having played for 89 minutes, Rowley Hutton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Licketstown's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rowley Hutton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 94th minute of the match Licketstown got a corner. Saltmills's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Kevion Caffrey ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Kevion Caffrey got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Taveon McWillie quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The Licketstown supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Saltmills's performance. The match ended with a win for Saltmills.
