Rylie Johnson might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aubrey Dempsey. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rylie Johnson ran back to his position shaking his head. If Rylie Johnson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Ballysheeda booed when Kilbraney was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eoin Ferguson didn't get a good kick on the ball. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sheridan McNamara was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Kilbraney getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Dugan Frankson hit a great ball. In the 64th minute, Daron Doyle ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Coileán Myler was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Daron Doyle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Coileán Myler having to interfere. Aubrey Dempsey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kilbraney. After a defensive mix-up in Kilbraney's zone, Sheridan McNamara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Coileán Myler came out of the goal and Sheridan McNamara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 88th minute, Rollin Johnson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kilbraney's Coileán Myler proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Kilbraney from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Ballysheeda's Sheridan McNamara slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Coileán Myler. That made the score 0-3 after 93 minutes of play. Ballysheeda's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
