Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Beanon Mullan started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Nechifor Coporan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joshua Lester. Gortearagh's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nechifor Coporan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Brett McJohnny kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Gortearagh's Joshua Lester played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bar Gough in the 12th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Gortearagh's goal looked a bit too open when Bar Gough came free, but Joshua Lester reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Drishane fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when Drishane's Bar Gough looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Beanon Mullan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Bar Gough managed to get in a good position for a shot. Drishane's supporters rose to their feet, but Bar Gough was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joshua Lester breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kutlu Acaralp during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 41 played minutes Drishane got a freekick which was hit by Kutlu Acaralp. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bar Gough in the 46th minute of play forced Gortearagh's goalkeeper Joshua Lester to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bar Gough to strike the kick off in the second half. Bradaigh McBrandon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beanon Mullan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Torin McFrancise kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Kutlu Acaralp got his second yellow card in the match during the 66th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Gortearagh booed when Drishane was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kutlu Acaralp didn't get a good kick on the ball. 70 minutes into the game, Agostinho Mineiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Drishane's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gortearagh the free kick. In the 69th minute, one of Drishane:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Drishane. Beanon Mullan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bradaigh McBrandon having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, Drishane's goal looked a bit too open when Boroimhe Matthews came free, but Bradaigh McBrandon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 81 minutes, Bar Gough mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Drishane and the Gortearagh players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 81 played minutes Drishane got a freekick which was hit by Bar Gough. Drishane's Bradaigh McBrandon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boroimhe Matthews in the 89th minute of play. Drishane's attentive Agostinho Mineiro managed to snatch the ball when Pembroke Keegan made a throw-in in the 98th minute of the game. The Drishane supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Drishane would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
