Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Bell Hughes made the kick off which started today's match. Bradaigh McBrandon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin McAaron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 5 minutes into the match, Drishane's goal looked a bit too open when Kevin McAaron came free, but Bradaigh McBrandon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Drishane's Alex Beckett got a free kick in the 6th minute. Bell Hughes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bradaigh McBrandon having to interfere. In the 15th minute Kevin McAaron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bradaigh McBrandon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Breslin McWillie took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 19th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bradaigh McBrandon. Drishane's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bell Hughes in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bradaigh McBrandon saved Drishane from getting behind. Bradaigh McBrandon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kevin McAaron in the 26th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Moone's Kevin McAaron sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bradaigh McBrandon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Moone booed when Drishane was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kutlu Acaralp didn't get a good kick on the ball. 38 minutes into the match, Kevin McAaron had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bradaigh McBrandon. Drishane's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kevin McAaron was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Bar Gough received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Brak Grant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Kevin McAaron put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Bradaigh McBrandon. After the first half Moone were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Bradaigh McBrandon was a little too slow when Bell Hughes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 55th minute. The score was now 0-3. In the 60th minute, Kevin McAaron got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Baiscend Deans's late challenge caught a Drishane's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Baiscend Deans helped the player get up and apologised. Kevin McAaron could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Bradaigh McBrandon made a huge save. Bradaigh McBrandon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bell Hughes in the 70th minute of the match. In the 73rd match minute, Moone was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bell Hughes to maneuver through the defense. A well placed Bell Hughes short distance shot in the 75th minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. Bradaigh McBrandon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bell Hughes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Moone played a much better game than Drishane and deserved their victory. The Drishane players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
