Cáirbre Lavine charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cáirbre Lavine the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 26th minute, Cáirbre Lavine hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tormaigh Benson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rowan Gallagher having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Rylie Johnson made a precise shot to the right of Rowan Gallagher. Barnalisheen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Coileán Myler came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Barnalisheen's Patrick Cassin. But to his dismay, Patrick Cassin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 41 minutes into the game, Bevin Dillon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barnalisheen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kilbraney the free kick. In the 41st minute, Bevin Dillon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Barnalisheen booed when Kilbraney was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 49 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bartel McGlenn didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Tormaigh Benson made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Barnalisheen booed when Kilbraney was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bartel McGlenn didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kilbraney's Coileán Myler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ryan Hughes in the 54th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Kilbraney's Rory McJames got a free kick in the 55th minute. 57 minutes into the match, Kilbraney's goal looked a bit too open when Ryan Hughes came free, but Coileán Myler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After recieving a nice pass, Barnalisheen's Bhrighde McOliver tried to score from far away in the 60th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Kilbraney's Rylie Johnson in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Barnalisheen's goalie prevented a goal. In the 68th minute, Eoghan Tracy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 71 played minutes Barnalisheen got a freekick which was hit by Cáirbre Lavine. The long shot by Benjamin Coyle in the 72nd minute really tested Rowan Gallagher's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. With splendid footwork Rylie Johnson arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-3 by the left pole in the game's 74th minute. Rylie Johnson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rowan Gallagher having to interfere. Ryan Hughes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Coileán Myler having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Patrick Cassin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Coileán Myler was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Patrick Cassin in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Coileán Myler saved Kilbraney from getting behind. If Ryan Hughes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 91 minutes into the match, Kilbraney's goal looked a bit too open when Patrick Cassin came free, but Coileán Myler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 97 minutes of play, Barnalisheen's Ryan Hughes made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Coileán Myler was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Barnalisheen supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Kilbraney's performance. The match ended with a win for Kilbraney.
