Toran Sheridan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Beglan Costello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patrick Cassin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ryan Hughes might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Toran Sheridan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ryan Hughes ran back to his position shaking his head. Toran Sheridan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ryan Hughes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Duff Callaghan hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Releagh's zone, Patrick Cassin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Toran Sheridan came out of the goal and Patrick Cassin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Toran Sheridan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrick Cassin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ryan Hughes took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Toran Sheridan. Toran Sheridan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Cáirbre Lavine's late challenge caught a Releagh's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cáirbre Lavine helped the player get up and apologised. In the 40th minute, Cáirbre Lavine hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Barnalisheen's Patrick Cassin got a free kick in the 41st minute.

Eoghan Tracy hit a great ball. When Ryan Hughes came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Barnalisheen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ryan Hughes couldn't finish the play. 87 minutes into the match, Releagh's goalkeeper Toran Sheridan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Patrick Cassin. Banan Hughes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Toran Sheridan managed to avoid a goal in the 93rdth minute, when Barnalisheen's Patrick Cassin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ryan Hughes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Toran Sheridan having to make a save. The Releagh fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Barnalisheen were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
