Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sheridan McNamara took the kick off in the first half of the match. Binne Gallagher took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 4th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Joshua Lester. Gortearagh's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some careless play in the Gortearagh defense, Daron Doyle kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joshua Lester. The Gortearagh fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joshua Lester should have stopped the shot. Beanon Mullan struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Aubrey Dempsey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gortearagh. Gortearagh's Joshua Lester played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sheridan McNamara in the 18th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Daron Doyle had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joshua Lester. Gortearagh's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daron Doyle was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Beanon Mullan got free with Aubrey Dempsey in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Gortearagh's Benedict Cassin got a free kick in the 31st minute. Joshua Lester took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barran Hamilton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Binne Gallagher scored 0-3 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joshua Lester, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 40th minute Daron Doyle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joshua Lester saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Ballysheeda's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Boroimhe Matthews fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Daron Doyle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

After a rather tough play, Ballysheeda's Brenna Byrne got a free kick in the 57th minute. If Beanon Mullan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute, Beanon Mullan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aubrey Dempsey was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. 67 minutes into the game, Brede Kirby was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ballysheeda's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gortearagh the free kick. In the 67th minute, one of Ballysheeda:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ballysheeda. Brett McJohnny walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Aubrey Dempsey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beanon Mullan in the 70th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ballysheeda's Barran Hamilton got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Boroimhe Matthews recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Gortearagh booed when Ballysheeda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Binne Gallagher didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Ballysheeda getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Barran Hamilton hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Binne Gallagher took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Joshua Lester to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of Gortearagh booed when Ballysheeda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sheridan McNamara didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 93rd minute, Brede Kirby hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 95th minute, Ballysheeda's Daron Doyle dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-5. The crowd rose to their feet as Ballysheeda's Daron Doyle slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Joshua Lester. That made the score 1-6 after 99 minutes of play.
