Spectators: 6772 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1772, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Cleary McNamee made the kick off which started today's match. When Benedict Cassin fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gortearagh's protests and gave Benedict Cassin a yellow card for diving instead. In the 4th minute, Benedict Cassin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joshua Lester was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cleary McNamee showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 6 minute of play. Joshua Lester showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bradon Lester in the 12th minute of the match. In the 15th minute Cleary McNamee shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joshua Lester saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Bradon Lester kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Joshua Lester. That made the score 2-0 in the 16 minute of play. Joshua Lester showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bradon Lester, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. A collision led to Lavey AFC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Cleary McNamee hit a great ball. When Bercnan McJohn fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lavey AFC's protests and gave Bercnan McJohn a yellow card for diving instead. Bercnan McJohn hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Lavey AFC's Bercnan McJohn got a free kick in the 26th minute. Cleary McNamee fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joshua Lester having to interfere. Beanon Mullan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Keeghan McTommy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Beanon Mullan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Beanon Mullan came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Gortearagh fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Beanon Mullan couldn't finish the play. 45 minutes into the game, Bradon Lester was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lavey AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gortearagh the free kick. In the 45th minute, Bradon Lester hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 47 played minutes Gortearagh got a freekick which was hit by Britt Martyn. After 48 played minutes, Lavey AFC's Cormac Sheridan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Joshua Lester came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Lavey AFC reached it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Lavey AFC's Keeghan McTommy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Lavey AFC from getting a goal against them. 54 minutes into the match, Lavey AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Boroimhe Matthews came free, but Keeghan McTommy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Beanon Mullan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Keeghan McTommy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gortearagh's Beanon Mullan got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Beanon Mullan might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Keeghan McTommy. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Beanon Mullan ran back to his position shaking his head. Joshua Lester showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Begley Hughes in the 72nd minute of the match. Beanon Mullan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Keeghan McTommy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Beanon Mullan in the 78th minute. Keeghan McTommy came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Gortearagh's Boroimhe Matthews. But to his dismay, Boroimhe Matthews quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. 82 minutes into the match, Gortearagh's goal looked a bit too open when Bradon Lester came free, but Joshua Lester reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Lavey AFC's zone, Beanon Mullan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Keeghan McTommy came out of the goal and Beanon Mullan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lavey AFC's Keeghan McTommy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boroimhe Matthews in the 85th minute of play. After 87 minutes, Beanon Mullan made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Lavey AFC's Keeghan McTommy tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With his leg Keeghan McTommy managed to avoid a goal in the 91stth minute, when Gortearagh's Beanon Mullan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 92 minutes into the game, Gortearagh's Boroimhe Matthews nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Keeghan McTommy made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Gortearagh walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
