Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Beanon Mullan made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 6th minute, Beanon Mullan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 8thth minute of the game Banan Hughes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gortearagh's Joshua Lester was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pembroke Keegan charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pembroke Keegan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 9 played minutes Gortearagh got a freekick which was hit by Pembroke Keegan. Joshua Lester took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Banan Hughes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute, Beanon Mullan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 15 minutes into the match, Gortearagh's goal looked a bit too open when Bellaghy Byrne came free, but Joshua Lester reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Beanon Mullan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Releagh's zone, Beanon Mullan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Toran Sheridan came out of the goal and Beanon Mullan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Beanon Mullan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Toran Sheridan made a huge save. 29 minutes into the match, Gortearagh's Beanon Mullan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Toran Sheridan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 30th match minute, Releagh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donan McGlynn to maneuver through the defense. Releagh's Toran Sheridan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Releagh from getting a goal against them. Joshua Lester made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gearoid Beckett in the 33rd minute of play. Beanon Mullan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Toran Sheridan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th minute Boroimhe Matthews shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toran Sheridan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute, Beanon Mullan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Toran Sheridan was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Beanon Mullan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toran Sheridan having to interfere. Gortearagh's Boroimhe Matthews got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 48th minute, Boroimhe Matthews got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gearoid Beckett stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Joshua Lester took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gearoid Beckett, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Beanon Mullan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toran Sheridan having to interfere. The supporters of Gortearagh booed when Releagh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cianán Crowe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Beanon Mullan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toran Sheridan having to interfere. Beanon Mullan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th minute, Banan Hughes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joshua Lester was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Boroimhe Matthews during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Gortearagh's Boroimhe Matthews got a free kick in the 74th minute. Joshua Lester showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gearoid Beckett in the 75th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Releagh's Gearoid Beckett slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Joshua Lester. That made the score 2-2 after 77 minutes of play. In the 83rd minute, one of Releagh:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Releagh. After a rather tough play, Releagh's Donan McGlynn got a free kick in the 85th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Beanon Mullan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gortearagh's supporters rose to their feet, but Beanon Mullan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Toran Sheridan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Beanon Mullan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Toran Sheridan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Gortearagh players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
