In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Broher Utd's goalkeeper Leon McPaul, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 12 minutes into the match, Broher Utd's goalkeeper Leon McPaul had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Terry Dunne. If Terry Dunne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Trien Gallagher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th match minute, Cloonaghboy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Trien Gallagher to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Cloonaghboy's zone, Tevis McPaul stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ciarán McTommy came out of the goal and Tevis McPaul tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tevis McPaul received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Ciarán McTommy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

A collision led to Broher Utd getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Bil McJohn hit a great ball. After 62nd play minutes Trien Gallagher shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Leon McPaul and just under the crossbar into goal. 68 minutes into the game, Tevis McPaul recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ciarán McTommy. Tevis McPaul showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Leon McPaul made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Terry Dunne in the 74th minute of play. Leon McPaul showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Trien Gallagher in the 75th minute of the match. If Artur McJohn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Ciarán McTommy managed to avoid a goal in the 84thth minute, when Broher Utd's Artur McJohn fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Terry Dunne took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leon McPaul. Leon McPaul dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Broher Utd's Leon McPaul played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Terry Dunne in the 94th minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
