Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bivitas Deery started the match with the kick off. If Boroimhe Deery had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bodibeua Cronin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andrew McPeter in the 8th minute. Torrans Robinson hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Meelick AFC's Jarlath Hughes got a free kick in the 15th minute. Jarlath Hughes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 24th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Samuel Costello. Kiltullagh's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Peadair McMichel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Costello having to interfere. Jarlath Hughes hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. After 31 played minutes, Kiltullagh's Hickey Prunty shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bodibeua Cronin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kiltullagh reached it. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Kiltullagh's goalkeeper Samuel Costello, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 33rd minute, Irving Deery hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Kiltullagh booed when Meelick AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Irving Deery didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 44 minutes of play, Meelick AFC's Boroimhe Deery made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Samuel Costello was left in no man's land by his defense there! After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Boroimhe Deery made a kick off. Bodibeua Cronin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bivitas Deery in the 54th minute of play. Meelick AFC's Bodibeua Cronin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shamus Jameson in the 61st minute of play. Irving Deery struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Samuel Costello didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Meelick AFC. If Boroimhe Deery had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th match minute, Meelick AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Irving Deery to maneuver through the defense. In the 88th minute, Andrew McPeter ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bodibeua Cronin was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Boroimhe Deery sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Peadair McMichel struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Samuel Costello didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Meelick AFC. Meelick AFC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Kiltullagh had won, even though Meelick AFC had held more of the ball.
