Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Shanavoola's Cassidy Hamilton started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Belock MaCollin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darrin Branson in the 6th minute of the match. In the 8th match minute, Shanavoola was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Berke McSteven to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Shanavoola's zone, Darrin Branson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Belock MaCollin came out of the goal and Darrin Branson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Shanavoola's Belock MaCollin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heremon McLiam in the 11th minute of play. A collision led to Shanavoola getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Sameer Harkin hit a great ball. 14 minutes into the match, Nolyn Todd notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Shanavoola's Belock MaCollin. Belock MaCollin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Breccan Ramsey kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Shanavoola's Belock MaCollin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Breccan Ramsey in the 20th minute of play. After 23 played minutes Derry FC got a freekick which was hit by Jeremiah Cronin. If Cassidy Hamilton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cassidy Hamilton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Bannon Doyle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Shanavoola booed when Derry FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeremiah Cronin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th minute, Thurl Doyle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darrin Branson in the 42nd minute of play forced Shanavoola's goalkeeper Belock MaCollin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Darrin Branson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Belock MaCollin was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. Shanavoola's Belock MaCollin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Breccan Ramsey in the 47th minute of play. The Shanavoola players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Derry FC were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Darrin Branson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th match minute, Derry FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thurl Doyle to maneuver through the defense. Belock MaCollin made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Darrin Branson sent off a good shot on target. 59 minutes into the match, Shanavoola's goalkeeper Belock MaCollin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Darrin Branson. Belock MaCollin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Breccan Ramsey, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Derry FC's Darrin Branson got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Berke McSteven hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. After 70 played minutes Shanavoola got a freekick which was hit by Beartlai McVictor. Breccan Ramsey struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Belock MaCollin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Derry FC. In the 72nd minute Breccan Ramsey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Belock MaCollin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Beartlai McVictor was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 75 minutes into the match. After 74 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Shanavoola! The crowd rose to their feet as Derry FC's Breccan Ramsey slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Belock MaCollin. That made the score 0-3 after 82 minutes of play. Belock MaCollin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heremon McLiam in the 87th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Derry FC's Darrin Branson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Belock MaCollin. That made the score 0-4 after 87 minutes of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Darrin Branson in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Belock MaCollin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Thurl Doyle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Belock MaCollin having to interfere. Belock MaCollin was a little too slow when Breccan Ramsey got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 93rd minute. The score was now 0-5. Darrin Branson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Belock MaCollin came out and tried to block the shot, but Darrin Branson slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 96th minute. When the final whistle sounded Derry FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Shanavoola.
