Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Berkeley Palmer got the match started through his kick off. After a rather tough play, Killyon's Brickeen McJames got a free kick in the 4th minute. Barde O'Neill recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Donncha McPaul fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lewis Kelly having to interfere. With a little luck, Cootehall's Samuel Costello got control of the ball when Flann Rutherford tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Flann Rutherford during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Flann Rutherford kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Lewis Kelly made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barde O'Neill in the 20th minute of play. Samuel Costello made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Baird Gough sent off a good shot on target. Baird Gough sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 28 minutes in the game, Barde O'Neill dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. A collision led to Killyon getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Flann Rutherford hit a great ball. Donncha McPaul sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 39th minute, Baird Gough ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Samuel Costello was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Cootehall's Samuel Costello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Berkeley Palmer in the 44th minute of play. In the 46th minute, Baird Gough got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 52nd minute Berkeley Palmer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel Costello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 53rd match minute, Cootehall was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donavon McOliver to maneuver through the defense. 55 minutes into the match, Killyon's Berkeley Palmer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Samuel Costello narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 56 played minutes, Killyon's David Caffrey shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Samuel Costello came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Killyon reached it. If Baird Gough had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Cootehall's zone, Baird Gough stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Samuel Costello came out of the goal and Baird Gough tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Baird Gough sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Cootehall's zone, Berkeley Palmer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Samuel Costello came out of the goal and Berkeley Palmer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Berkeley Palmer struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Samuel Costello didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Killyon. If Berkeley Palmer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cootehall's Samuel Costello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Berkeley Palmer in the 92nd minute of play. The supporters of Killyon booed when Cootehall was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conor Lester didn't get a good kick on the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Killyon fully deserved thier win.
