After 15 played minutes Nicker got a freekick which was hit by Quirk McLian. Coolbaun AFC's Duff Rogers couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 16th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Nicker. In the 22nd match minute, Nicker was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timothy Mullan to maneuver through the defense. Coolbaun AFC's Bret McNamee saw an opening behind the goalie Kerrigan McPeter in the 24thth minute and tried to shoot past into the top right corner, but with great reflexes Kerrigan McPeter with one arm managed to save the shot in the last secound. If Comhghall Kelly had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th minute, Tomás McWillie ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Berkley Lavine was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Tomás McWillie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Berkley Lavine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Nicker booed when Coolbaun AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harold McCollion didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Tomás McWillie's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Berkley Lavine was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. Comhghall Kelly sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomás McWillie blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Berkley Lavine having to make a save. 44 minutes into the match, Coolbaun AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Comhghall Kelly came free, but Berkley Lavine reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Coolbaun AFC's Berkley Lavine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás McWillie in the 45th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bret McNamee to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Timothy Mullan fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Berkley Lavine, passed just outside the right post. Rory Coyle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lochlainn Cronin's late challenge caught a Coolbaun AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lochlainn Cronin helped the player get up and apologised. Bret McNamee might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kerrigan McPeter. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bret McNamee ran back to his position shaking his head. If Bret McNamee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 71 minutes into the match, Nicker's goal looked a bit too open when Bret McNamee came free, but Kerrigan McPeter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Coolbaun AFC booed when Nicker was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Douglas Cronin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Comhghall Kelly took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Berkley Lavine. Berkley Lavine dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. An unexpected shot in the 90th minute by Comhghall Kelly got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 95th match minute, Coolbaun AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donahue McCready to maneuver through the defense. When the match was over Nicker could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Coolbaun AFC throughout the match.
