Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) An unexpectedly hard shot by Glenn Deans in the 3rd minute of play forced Burnfort's goalkeeper Bivadas McLian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Críostóir Ghee hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Bivadas McLian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Glenn Deans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Gearóid Callaghan fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Burnfort's protests and gave Gearóid Callaghan a yellow card for diving instead. Gearóid Callaghan hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. After having played for 12 minutes, Glenn Deans managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Loughbeg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Glenn Deans was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Beary Cronin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keely McBrandon having to interfere. If Justin Dalton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 25 played minutes Burnfort got a freekick which was hit by Caoilte McNamara. Brian McGlenn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Keely McBrandon made a huge save. After 31 minutes of play, Loughbeg's Justin Dalton made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bivadas McLian was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Glenn Deans managed to get in a good position for a shot. Loughbeg's supporters rose to their feet, but Glenn Deans was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bivadas McLian breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Glenn Deans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Bivadas McLian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, Loughbeg's goalkeeper Keely McBrandon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Brian McGlenn. Bivadas McLian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Glenn Deans in the 48th minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Glenn Deans was the one to do the kick off. Scot Byrne kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. After having played for 60 minutes, Justin Dalton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Loughbeg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Justin Dalton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Brian McGlenn blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Keely McBrandon having to make a save. In the 67th minute Beary Cronin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keely McBrandon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Keely McBrandon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beary Cronin in the 78th minute of the match. Burnfort's Beary Cronin got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Beary Cronin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Keely McBrandon having to make a save. If Justin Dalton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Keely McBrandon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beary Cronin in the 87th minute of play. Burnfort's Bivadas McLian proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Burnfort from getting a goal against them. Keely McBrandon came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Burnfort's Beary Cronin. But to his dismay, Beary Cronin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2.
