Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Oliver McJon started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Ballyfarnan Utd's Barran McSteven proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Ballyfarnan Utd from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Loughbeg's Riley Caffey got a free kick in the 8th minute. Keely McBrandon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oliver McJon, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Oliver McJon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Keely McBrandon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Loughbeg defense, Oliver McJon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Keely McBrandon. The Loughbeg fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Keely McBrandon should have stopped the shot. Ballyfarnan Utd's Barran McSteven played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Glenn Deans in the 25th minute of play. Glenn Deans struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Barran McSteven didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Loughbeg. A collision led to Loughbeg getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Críostóir Ghee hit a great ball. 30 minutes into the match, Oliver McJon notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Loughbeg's Keely McBrandon. Keely McBrandon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kevion Deery charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kevion Deery the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Justin Dalton took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Barran McSteven. Barran McSteven dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Suibhne Branson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Keely McBrandon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Ballyfarnan Utd were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Barran McSteven took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Glenn Deans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 58 minutes into the match, Loughbeg's goalkeeper Keely McBrandon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Suibhne Branson. Becc Tierney kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. 75 minutes in the game Reilley McSteven got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal. Barran McSteven took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Glenn Deans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Justin Dalton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 83 minutes, Glenn Deans managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Loughbeg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Glenn Deans was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Baird McSteve during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 89th minute, Baird McSteve hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Justin Dalton struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Barran McSteven didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Loughbeg. After 94 played minutes, Loughbeg's Riley Caffey shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Barran McSteven came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Loughbeg reached it.
