Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Shanavoola's Cassidy Hamilton started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the game, Cassidy Hamilton cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Keely McBrandon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Beartlai Callaghan's late challenge caught a Shanavoola's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Beartlai Callaghan helped the player get up and apologised. After 7 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Loughbeg! Sameer Harkin shot the penalty kick right outside the post. In the 12th minute of the match Sameer Harkin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Keely McBrandon skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Thom McPeter managed to get in a good position for a shot. Shanavoola's supporters rose to their feet, but Thom McPeter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Keely McBrandon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Shanavoola booed when Loughbeg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kieran Deery didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Sameer Harkin from long distance, 25 minutes into the match, got Keely McBrandon's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After a defensive mix-up in Loughbeg's zone, Cassidy Hamilton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Keely McBrandon came out of the goal and Cassidy Hamilton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Shanavoola booed when Loughbeg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Riley Caffey didn't get a good kick on the ball. Justin Dalton struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Belock MaCollin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Loughbeg. Glenn Deans's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Belock MaCollin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Loughbeg's Keely McBrandon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cassidy Hamilton in the 52nd minute of play. Thom McPeter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Justin Dalton got free with Belock MaCollin in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Loughbeg's Glenn Deans slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Belock MaCollin. That made the score 1-1 after 59 minutes of play. Justin Dalton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Cassidy Hamilton put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Keely McBrandon. Cassidy Hamilton struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Keely McBrandon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Shanavoola. Keely McBrandon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thom McPeter in the 79th minute of the match. Cassidy Hamilton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Keely McBrandon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Justin Dalton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Glenn Deans charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Glenn Deans the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 95th minute, Glenn Deans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
