Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Tomás McWillie managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nicker's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomás McWillie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bivadas McLian breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brian McGlenn in the 10th minute of play forced Nicker's goalkeeper Kerrigan McPeter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Brian McGlenn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Beary Cronin, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 16 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Kerrigan McPeter was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. If Comhghall Kelly had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bivadas McLian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás McWillie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bivadas McLian made an important save on a dangerous shot by Comhghall Kelly in the 28th minute. When Caoilte McNamara fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Burnfort's protests and gave Caoilte McNamara a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Nicker booed when Burnfort was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caoilte McNamara didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st match minute, Nicker was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lochlainn Cronin to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Nicker's zone, Brian McGlenn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kerrigan McPeter came out of the goal and Brian McGlenn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kerrigan McPeter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beary Cronin in the 37th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Beary Cronin made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Comhghall Kelly's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bivadas McLian was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Kerrigan McPeter stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Beary Cronin's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. 62 minutes into the match, Nicker's Comhghall Kelly sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bivadas McLian narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 66 minutes into the match, Nicker's goal looked a bit too open when Beary Cronin came free, but Kerrigan McPeter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beary Cronin in the 67th minute of play forced Nicker's goalkeeper Kerrigan McPeter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brian McGlenn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Brian McGlenn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Quirk McLian kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Brian McGlenn might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kerrigan McPeter. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Brian McGlenn ran back to his position shaking his head.
