Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Beary Cronin started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 5th minute Burnfort were awarded a corner. Scot Byrne went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Scot Byrne got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Lewis Kelly quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Bivadas McLian didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Flann Rutherford went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Brian McGlenn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Lewis Kelly tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Burnfort's Gearóid Callaghan got a free kick in the 21st minute. Beary Cronin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lewis Kelly having to interfere. After 33 minutes, Felim McLian mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Killyon and the Burnfort players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Burnfort booed when Killyon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felim McLian didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brian McGlenn struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Lewis Kelly didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Burnfort. Brian McGlenn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Lewis Kelly made a huge save. After some careless play in the Burnfort defense, Banbhan McPhil kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bivadas McLian. The Burnfort fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bivadas McLian should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Berkeley Palmer made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes had been played when some careless play by Burnfort's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. David Caffrey was slow to take the kick. During this time Killyon's players had a chance to rest. 58 minutes into the match, Berkeley Palmer dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bivadas McLian, 0-3. In the 61st minute, Beary Cronin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Burnfort fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. After a rather tough play, Burnfort's Gearóid Callaghan got a free kick in the 64th minute. If Baird Gough had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 71st minute, Brian McGlenn made a precise shot to the right of Lewis Kelly. Killyon's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Lewis Kelly made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brian McGlenn in the 80th minute of play. After having played for 87 minutes, Brian McGlenn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Burnfort's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brian McGlenn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 91 minutes into the match, Burnfort's goalkeeper Bivadas McLian had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Berkeley Palmer. The Killyon players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Burnfort from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
