Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Oliver McJon started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 5th match minute, Ballyfarnan Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caoilte Gillmour to maneuver through the defense. When Cassidy Hamilton came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Shanavoola fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cassidy Hamilton couldn't finish the play. Thom McPeter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barran McSteven having to interfere. In the 17th match minute, Shanavoola was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thom McPeter to maneuver through the defense. Belock MaCollin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baird McSteve, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 22 minutes into the match, Ballyfarnan Utd's Oliver McJon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Belock MaCollin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Suibhne Branson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Belock MaCollin having to make a save. Oliver McJon took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Belock MaCollin. Belock MaCollin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Ballyfarnan Utd's zone, Thom McPeter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Barran McSteven came out of the goal and Thom McPeter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 45 minutes into the game, Shanavoola's Thom McPeter nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Barran McSteven made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Barran McSteven stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cassidy Hamilton's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Beartlai McVictor kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Reilley McSteven, 56 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Suibhne Branson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ballyfarnan Utd's Barran McSteven played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Breffni Tierney in the 64th minute of play. Cassidy Hamilton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Cassidy Hamilton, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 68 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Barran McSteven was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 71 minutes into the match, Cassidy Hamilton notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Ballyfarnan Utd's Barran McSteven. Barran McSteven was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Breffni Tierney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Barran McSteven showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thom McPeter, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Barran McSteven made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cassidy Hamilton in the 77th minute of play. Belock MaCollin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oliver McJon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Thom McPeter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thom McPeter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Ballyfarnan Utd booed when Shanavoola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Berke McSteven didn't get a good kick on the ball. Suibhne Branson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Barran McSteven made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cassidy Hamilton in the 88th minute of play.
