Ballyfarnan Utd's Barran McSteven played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beary Cronin in the 36th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gearóid Callaghan in the 39th minute of play forced Ballyfarnan Utd's goalkeeper Barran McSteven to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Suibhne Branson in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bivadas McLian prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Brian McGlenn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Brian McGlenn got free with Barran McSteven in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Despite being the better team, Burnfort failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
