Aron Branson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Blathmac McFrank in the 11th minute of the match. Blathmac McFrank sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 25 minutes into the match, Urbalreagh's goalkeeper Ciarán Sheridan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Teigue McCready. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Blathmac McFrank managed to get in a good position for a shot. Urbalreagh's supporters rose to their feet, but Blathmac McFrank was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aron Branson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Blathmac McFrank fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aron Branson having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Blathmac McFrank in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aron Branson saved Farnane AFC from getting behind. Don McNamara struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Aron Branson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Urbalreagh. After 35 minutes of play, Urbalreagh's Blathmac McFrank made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aron Branson was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 38 minutes, Blathmac McFrank made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Farnane AFC's Aron Branson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Blamhac Scully came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Urbalreagh fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Blamhac Scully couldn't finish the play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gearóid McJon was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Farnane AFC's goalkeeper Aron Branson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Blathmac McFrank. Don McNamara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Aron Branson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Blathmac McFrank came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Urbalreagh fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Blathmac McFrank couldn't finish the play. After 68 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Urbalreagh! Blamhac Scully scored 1-4 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aron Branson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Urbalreagh booed when Farnane AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rorey Bayes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Farnane AFC's Aron Branson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Farnane AFC from getting a goal against them. Britt McJohnny fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aron Branson having to interfere. Blamhac Scully sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Donavon Prunty hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. After 98 minutes Farnane AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Britt McJohnny who took care of the corner kick. Urbalreagh's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
