When Kevinn Ryan came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Belra fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kevinn Ryan couldn't finish the play. Bairee Dimson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donoghue Harkin in the 36th minute of the match. In the 43rd match minute, Belra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emmet Tracy to maneuver through the defense. Bercnan McBrand's late challenge caught a Coolcorragh AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bercnan McBrand helped the player get up and apologised. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Donoghue Harkin to make the kick off. Keely Beckett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bercnan McBrand, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute.
