Healey Deery was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Scrawtown's George Hughes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Scrawtown from getting a goal against them. If Rowley McFrank had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julian Mogel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Healey Deery having to interfere. Scrawtown's Rowley McFrank got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Glenmaquin AFC's Healey Deery played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Mogel in the 38th minute of play. Julian Mogel struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Healey Deery didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Scrawtown. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Bodibeua Harkin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Scrawtown's supporters rose to their feet, but Bodibeua Harkin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Healey Deery breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 46th minute, Brandon Dillon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Glenmaquin AFC's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 48th minute of the game, when Banvan Dunne after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Scrawtown's goal. Banvan Dunne was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Healey Deery made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julian Mogel in the 53rd minute. If Julian Mogel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Rowley McFrank managed to get in a good position for a shot. Scrawtown's supporters rose to their feet, but Rowley McFrank was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Healey Deery breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Brendon Ramsey came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Glenmaquin AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brendon Ramsey couldn't finish the play. Healey Deery made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rowley McFrank in the 63rd minute. George Hughes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brendon Ramsey, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. When Banvan Dunne fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Glenmaquin AFC's protests and gave Banvan Dunne a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Glenmaquin AFC's Banvan Dunne got a free kick in the 67th minute. Herich Keegan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 68th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Healey Deery. Glenmaquin AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Bragain O'Down was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 72 minutes had been played. Bragain O'Down kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Reilly Doherty hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Glenmaquin AFC's zone, Julian Mogel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Healey Deery came out of the goal and Julian Mogel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A hard shot 88 in the game by Rowley McFrank from a close distance when the talented Healey Deery managed to make a qualified save. Glenmaquin AFC's players were relieved. 92 minutes into the match, Scrawtown's goal looked a bit too open when Tormaigh Rogers came free, but George Hughes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Scrawtown players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Glenmaquin AFC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
