Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Monavarnoge Utd's Farrell Hamilton started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Healy Savic had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of George Hughes. Scrawtown's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Healy Savic was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After having played for 11 minutes, Conleth Ghee managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monavarnoge Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Conleth Ghee was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Oliver McWill charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Oliver McWill the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 15th match minute, Monavarnoge Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oliver McWill to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Farrell Hamilton in the 25th minute of play forced Scrawtown's goalkeeper George Hughes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute, Julian Mogel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 28 played minutes Scrawtown got a freekick which was hit by Brandon Dillon. In the 29th minute of the match Bedilia McDonald sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but George Hughes skillfully saved the ball. Julian Mogel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Torna Deans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julian Mogel was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Brandon Dillon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Scrawtown's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Monavarnoge Utd the free kick. George Hughes didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 54th minute, which inside left pole to 2-2. George Hughes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Healy Savic in the 60th minute. Julian Mogel struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Torna Deans didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Scrawtown. If Julian Mogel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reilly Doherty was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 67 minutes into the match. Scrawtown's George Hughes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Scrawtown from getting a goal against them. 77 minutes into the match, Scrawtown's goalkeeper George Hughes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Conleth Ghee . 79 minutes into the match, Scrawtown's goal looked a bit too open when Tevis McCready came free, but George Hughes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 80 minutes into the game, Farrell Hamilton recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of George Hughes. Farrell Hamilton showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-4. Scrawtown's Julian Mogel got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 90 minutes into the match, Conleth Ghee had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of George Hughes. Scrawtown's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Conleth Ghee was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-5. When the match had gone on for 97 minutes, Conleth Ghee took a quick shot and it went in 2-6 without a chance for George Hughes to make any attempt to save it. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Monavarnoge Utd eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
