In the 3rd minute of the match, Kain McLiam tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Theodore Walker saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Timothy Gollogley kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Kain McLiam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Balladian Utd's Donavan McIan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Banbhan Mulvihill in the 15th minute of play. In the 21st minute Rourke Quinnless shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donavan McIan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Doornane Utd's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Kain McLiam 24 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Banbhan Mulvihill took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Donavan McIan. Donavan McIan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. A collision led to Balladian Utd getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Tady Benson hit a great ball. Banbhan Mulvihill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donavan McIan having to interfere. Theodore Walker made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paul McPeter in the 38th minute. 42 minutes into the match, Balladian Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Rourke Quinnless came free, but Donavan McIan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kain McLiam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kain McLiam made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rourke Quinnless in the 53rd minute of play forced Balladian Utd's goalkeeper Donavan McIan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 55 minutes into the game, Banbhan Mulvihill recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Donavan McIan. Banbhan Mulvihill showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Doornane Utd's zone, Kain McLiam stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Theodore Walker came out of the goal and Kain McLiam tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Theodore Walker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paul McPeter, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. After having played for 60 minutes, Timmons Hunt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Balladian Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Timmons Hunt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Donavan McIan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Banbhan Mulvihill, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 65 minutes into the match, Paul McPeter had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Theodore Walker. Doornane Utd's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paul McPeter was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rourke Quinnless got free with Donavan McIan in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Balladian Utd's Paul McPeter got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Timmons Hunt in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Theodore Walker saved Doornane Utd from getting behind. Brefni McBrand kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. If Paul McPeter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Kain McLiam's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Theodore Walker was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. Timmons Hunt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Theodore Walker having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Balladian Utd fully deserved thier win.
