Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Donn Gough got the match started through his kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Baoithin McJohnny in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Philib McJon saved Ballytrasna AFC from getting behind. The supporters of Barnadarrig booed when Ballytrasna AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iarla Rutherford didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Donn Gough had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Baoithin McJohnny put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Philib McJon. 22 minutes into the game, Breed McLaughlin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barnadarrig's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ballytrasna AFC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Barnadarrig's Breed McLaughlin got a free kick in the 22nd minute. 24 minutes into the match, Barnadarrig's goal looked a bit too open when Iarla Rutherford came free, but Hayes Sheridan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Baoithin McJohnny received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Philib McJon came out and tried to block the shot, but Baoithin McJohnny slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 29th minute. In the 33rd match minute, Ballytrasna AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bhrighde McJohn to maneuver through the defense. Donn Gough received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Philib McJon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Philib McJon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donn Gough, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Baoithin McJohnny sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Barnadarrig's Donn Gough got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 42nd minute, Bhrighde McJohn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Barnadarrig's Shea McFrancise got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baoithin McJohnny got free with Philib McJon in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rorey Willson to make the kick off. Philib McJon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baoithin McJohnny, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 52 minutes into the game, Barnadarrig's Baoithin McJohnny nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Philib McJon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rorey Willson in the 58th minute of play forced Barnadarrig's goalkeeper Hayes Sheridan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 62 played minutes Ballytrasna AFC got a freekick which was hit by Rorey Willson. Philib McJon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Baoithin McJohnny went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Rorey Willson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Hayes Sheridan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Shea McFrancise fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philib McJon having to interfere. Reilley Hutton might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Philib McJon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Reilley Hutton ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 81 minutes, Shea McFrancise managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barnadarrig's supporters crossed their fingers, but Shea McFrancise was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Barnadarrig's Baoithin McJohnny got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 87 minutes into the match, Ballytrasna AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Baoithin McJohnny came free, but Philib McJon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Philib McJon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Baoithin McJohnny's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Torin Dempsey's late challenge caught a Barnadarrig's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Torin Dempsey helped the player get up and apologised. After 90 played minutes Ballytrasna AFC got a freekick which was hit by Torin Dempsey. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rorey Willson in the 96th minute of play forced Barnadarrig's goalkeeper Hayes Sheridan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Barnadarrig walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
