Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Carrigart FC's Bardon Rogers started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Carrigart FC's goal looked a bit too open when Breas Colwell came free, but Brenden Cronin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 6th minute, Conaill Cooney hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Breas Colwell struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Brenden Cronin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Prosperous Utd. In the 7th minute, Lawrence Barrett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Carrigart FC's Brenden Cronin got control of the ball when Donal Benson tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Carrigart FC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Conaill Cooney hit a great ball. In the 13th minute Breas Colwell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brenden Cronin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jeremiah McLian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21stth minute of the game Jeremiah McLian who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Prosperous Utd's Pearse McSteve was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Carrigart FC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Beineon Colwell hit a great ball. Donn Keegan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jeremiah McLian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Pearse McSteve tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Breas Colwell, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 34 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Brenden Cronin was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Donal Benson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brenden Cronin having to interfere. Breas Colwell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Brenden Cronin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th minute Donald Caffey suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. A collision led to Carrigart FC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Henry Byrne hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 53rd minute, Bardon Rogers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Briony Mulvihill charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Briony Mulvihill the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Carrigart FC booed when Prosperous Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Briony Mulvihill didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Carrigart FC's Patrick Johnson got a free kick in the 56th minute. Oliver McJames, 57 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a rather tough play, Prosperous Utd's Briony Mulvihill got a free kick in the 60th minute. Brenden Cronin came out of the goal and Briony Mulvihill tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Prosperous Utd booed when Carrigart FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conaill Cooney didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Donal Benson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Prosperous Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Donal Benson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brenden Cronin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Brenden Cronin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donal Benson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carrigart FC's Brenden Cronin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donal Benson in the 78th minute of play. In the 86thth minute of the game Donal Benson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Carrigart FC's Brenden Cronin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
